The St. Regis Grand Hotel in Italy is at the top of the list of five star luxury hotels. People become almost speechless when they talk about this hotel. They compare it to a museum, and as you walk through the lobby, you will know why. Every piece of furniture, every decoration that is set out is an antique from Italy’s past. The guest rooms are quite opulent with heavy red velvet curtains lining the windows, a fireplace in the middle of the rooms, and museum pieces splendidly displayed. Some of the guest rooms differ quite a bit from this; some are very contemporary and some are not as lavish. Even though the St. Regis Hotel is equal in its amenities to other great hotels, there are few that would stand up to its service and old world nostalgic atmosphere.
While staying at the St. Regis Grand Hotel, the tourist in you will giggle like a schoolgirl as you see the many historical sights within walking distance. Just a few minutes from the hotel, you can see the Fountain of Moses Monument, which is leaning on the façade of the St. Regis. The Saint Susanna at the baths of Diocletian Church is a one-minute walk from the hotel. This church was built in the later part of the 16th century. The National Museum of Rome is a five-minute walk from St. Regis and will keep you busy for days. The Four Fountains and the Trevi Fountain are very close to this hotel, so save some coins to make plenty of wishes.
The St. Regis Grand Hotel has been the luxury hotel Italy has cherished and kept from harm for so many years. It would be a shame not to visit her luxurious rooms, and even stay for a while.
